Post:- Associate Database Administrator, IT Division
Job Description / Responsibility
- Creates and maintains all databases required for development, testing and production.
- Performs the capacity planning required to create and maintain the Databases.
- The DBA should works closely with system administration
- Performs ongoing tuning of the database instances.
- Performs daily, weekly and monthly database activity.
- Plans and implements backup and recovery of database.
- Controls of database changes, reference data changes and menu changes through the development life cycle.
- Implements and enforces security for all of Databases.
- Performs database re-organizations as required to assist performance and ensure maximum uptime of the database.
- Provides technical support to application development teams.
- Work as part of a team and provide 24x7 supports when required
- Enforces and maintains database constraints to ensure integrity of the database.
- Administers all database objects, including tables, clusters, indexes, views, sequences, packages and procedures.
- Assists with impact analysis of any changes made to the database objects.
- Troubleshoots with problems regarding the databases, applications and development tools.
Educational Requirements
Masters/Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Any Science Background from any reputed University
Experience Requirements : Minimum 3 year(s)
Additional Job Requirements
- Should have at least 3 years experiences preferably in Unix/Linux environment
- Good communication and writing skill
- Professional Certification
